Mr. Kolja Roman Targan is active as a lawyer since 2012. Previously, Mr. Targan worked in the legal department of an international corporate group (chemical industry).

In April 2019, the University of Science and Technology of China in Hefei/China has appointed Mr. Targan as Professor at the School of Public Affairs (April 2019-April 2022).

Mr. Targan was nominated as an examiner for the Legal Clerk Examination by the Hanseatic Bar Association Hamburg (Hanseatische Rechtsanwaltskammer Hamburg) in 2019 and as an examiner for the State-Certified Foreign Language Correspondence Clerk Examination by the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce (Handelskammer Hamburg) in 2015. The Hamburg Institute for Vocational Education and Training (Hamburger Institut für Berufliche Bildung) appointed Mr. Targan as deputy member of the Vocational Training Committee of the Hanseatic Bar Association Hamburg (Hanseatische Rechtsanwaltskammer Hamburg) in 2023.

Education

Mr. Targan studied Law in Hamburg, Greifswald, Stellenbosch/South Africa, Lausanne/Switzerland and Berlin.
First Legal State Examination with the specialization in European and International Private and Business Law at the Humboldt-University of Berlin.
Practical Legal Training and Second Legal State Examination at the Higher Regional Court Hamm with a secondment at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Budapest (Hungary).
